Step 1: To make sure the Windows USB
utility is
available in your computer.
Step 2: Connect the PKB's USB cable to the
USB port
on the computer, the LEDs will illuminate
to
indicate the PKB is ready for operation.
RED LED :
on for "ALT" enabled
off for "ALT" disabled
Double colors LED :
- Red color :
on for "Num lock" enabled
off for "Num lock" disabled
- Green color : illuminate for MCR read
successfully
Note: When the PKB-020 worked as slave,
the LED of
the "Num Lock" can not work.

3.1) Installation for keyboard interface
model:
3.2) Installation for RS-232 interface
model:
Step 1: Turn the computer system power
off, and
unplug the keyboard cable.
Step 2: Plug the male end of the PKB
cable into the
keyboard socket on the computer
Step 3: Plug the keyboard cable to the
female end of the
PKB cable (the PKB-020 will be worked
as
slave) or
Step 3: Don't plug the keyboard cable to
the female end
of the PKB cable (the PKB-020 will be
worked
as master)
Step 4: Turn on the computer power, the
LEDs will
illuminate to indicate the PKB is ready
for
operation.
Step 1: Turn the computer power off.
Step 2: Connect the DSUB 9 pin (female)
connector of
the PKB to the RS-232 port on the
computer/host.
Step 3: Applies proper power adapter to
the power jack
of the DSUB 9 pin connector or a special
made
pin out of the connector to retrieve the
power
from the RS-232 port on the host.
Step 4: Turn the system power on, the
LEDs will
illuminate to indicate the PKB is ready
for
operation.
