-20-Enable/Disable Download Data with Machine IDEach BCP unit comes with a unique Machine ID (an
eight-digitnumber) from factory. The Machine ID is stored
inside thefirmware and cannot be modified without removing the
IC.This menu item allows you to include/exclude the
Machine IDto be displayed in the output window of the downloadoperation for identification purpose. This option
is useful whenmultiple BCP units are being used to collectively
capturebarcode data.Note that Machine ID tagging with real-time data
(tetheredscanning) is associated with each single record;
whereasMachine ID tagging with batch data (downloaded from
BCPmemory) pertains to the entire data file. Refer
to the HyperTerminal example in Section 4.2.2 and the Download
Dataexample in Section 4.2.4 for comparison.
